Birmingham Airports Tourism Rate To Rise
The domestic tourist rate has been increasing in Birmingham by 17% during the past 6 years. The overseas guests rate also rose by 52%.
These figures are looking to grow even more within the next years since the Commonwealth Games will be hosted in Birmingham in 2022.
During the 11 days on which these games are being held, the expected visitor numbers are 500,000- 1,000,000. The estimated boost that these games will bring to the West Midlands is £526 million.
